Just like Charm said everyone is different, you may not have any SX, then you may just have a couple of SX, just can't tell. But you want to make sure that you stay hydrated, drink lots and lots and lots an then more WATER. At the beginning of TX i used oatmeal bath soap to help with the itching (it usually will come), and Eucerin specially for itching. After you get it under control I have started using the Eucerin Calming Cream, it is a very thick lotion. Wishing you well and hopefully SX free TX

Everyone's sx differ so much. Some get thru fine, others have sx that are tolerable.
I have completed 11 weeks my sx are fatigue, hair loss starting at week 9, sore dry throat, and some Riba mood swings.Extremely dry skin, itching.

You really have to just go thru it and see what happens everyone is so different. Takes weeks for the meds to build up in your system.

Male sure your monitored every two weeks for blood counts, very important.
Also make sure you take the shot time time every week, and the pills everyday same time too.
Good luck.

Pills (ribavirin) are twice a day pegylated interferon is once a week. Not everyone has hair loss. Most people get achy 'flu-like' symptoms from the interferon and many get depression/anger. Ribavirin can affect your red blood cell counts (fatigue) and interferon your white cell counts (possibilty of infections becoming serious health issues).

But the reality is, most of us get through treatment somehow. His blood counts should be monitored regularly (ideally once a week the first month or so) and viral load checked at least at weeks 4 and 12. If you have a half way decent doc he'll know what to do with this info.

Good luck and keep asking questions. Knowledge = Power.
