test results

hi..i was wondering if anyone knows what TF stands for in a hepatitus ..for A, B,C

I think it means "to follow"...Meaning the report will be updated when the results are available...~MM

i called in they said Tf meant to follow meaning hepatitus panel was not in

I have never seen a positive result for hepatitis reported as "TF" or "RPR" or "RPR tf".  And, if the test was a liver panel or liver function test or comprehensive metabolic panel those tests would not reveal the presence or absence of hepatitis C.
Does the report give you the name of the test that was run?

I don't know. However, creatinine is not usually part of a Liver Panel.  The reference range usually refers to the range of 'normal' for the patient.  For  example, the range of normal for my ALT might be something like 9 - 60.  You might ask the doc that ordered the test.
