Cirrhosis is cirrhosis, however like with alcohol, if you remove the HCV, the cirrhosis often improves and even, if it is early, can resolve. It is not too late to get treated if you have cirrhosis. There are many things that you can do to treat cirrhosis too. Make sure you are seeing a qualified liver specialist! Good luck DTD
. I did tx and relapsed. My heptologist only talks about TPs whereas I would like to do something to treat the cirrhosis. Thank you for your reply
May sound silly but a positive attitude & laughter are a must! Check with your dr to make sure you are getting enough essential nutrients for Cirrhosis: Vit B complex, plus xtra B12 and folic acid L-cysteine & L-methionine, Priteolytic enzymes, Selenium, Shitake or rieshi, Zinc plus copper. You must consult a Dr.- herbs do affect certain drugs. At all times be cognizant of what you put in your mouth- even the clothes you wear! As little exposure to chemicals/drugs (caffein, nicotein, esp alcohol-even your mouthwash) makes your liver work that much less! Dont give up. Best of Luck.
