Again, when you have to look that closely and stretch the skin and use a bright light, these are probably completely normal dots on the head of the penis. Most people have them, but aren't noting them until there is some kind of sexual exposure that worries them. I really think this sounds nothing like herpes, but you will be reassured when you go to see your doctor.

Hi Terri,
so sorry about the double post, I am just that stressed over this it is driving me insane. I have tried really hard visiting different doctors and If someone could say "you have xxx" i would be happy but I keep getting "doesnt seem herpetic, could be just a irritation but not sure".
I just wanted to give u some more details, and I won't post again. Under light the dots seem to be all joined up by little red lines (like tiny blood vessels) all over the penis head like a "cob web kind of spread". some dots are visible flacid, but not really the blood vessels. I cant feel then however when I run my fingure across the head. I'm in deep week 5 and need to know if this sounds herpetic or not as I can't eat or sleep!
I am booked in with my original GP again tomorrow after work, will be asking for a referral to a dermatoligist so please don't think I am taking your advice as gospal, I just need some reassurance on my chances of having herpes (also no I have never had a cold sore on my mouth)
thanks and apologies for taking your time. To say the services for this stuff are limited where I like is an understatement!
Thanks.

Hi Terri,
Yes it was just a very brief kiss on the side of the head of my penis. I have just inspected my penis again under a light and the dots seems to be like a red pen has been dotted on my penis head. They are so small but visable especially when I stretch the skin. does this sound more like herpes? Since exposure was minimal is it possble for these symtons to show away from the infected area? Forexample as a condum doesnt cover the testes they could get exposed but the symptons are all on the penis head?
Should note that I didnt see any symptons on the girl, but it was a one night stand and I don't know her backgroun at all.
thanks for you help I hope you can provide some more advice based on the above, I know your busy but to say this is stressing me out is a massive understatement!
Thanks,
Cell
Your symptoms do not sound herpetic to me. The timing isn't right, and I would expect some kind of skin change that is more dramatic than the one that you describe. When someone tells me they have to look really really closely to see the bumps, I know that those bumps are not herpetic.
Have you ever in your life had a cold sore on your lip? If yes, then you already have HSV 1 infection and are highly unlikely to get it at a new location on your body. And I would not worry about getting HSV 2 from someone kissing your penis.
This contact - was there just kissing of the penis or did she have your penis in her mouth and for how long? A simple kiss would be very unlikely to transmit herpes. An extended period of more internal oral sex a slightly higher risk.
Testing time is from exposure, not symptoms.
