After the Fact Questions

Posted this a couple days ago, but it was either deleted or somehow didn't make it on the board.

Long story, shorter: after sexual relations with my girlfriend, she got a cold sore the next morning. We were told to "wait to see what happened." It's been 15 days.

1. Am I in the clear if I haven't had a breakout? Feelingundone mentioned things usually happen between 2-10 days, but we also read elsewhere it could be 20 days. Which is it?
2. When can we kiss and go full with oral sex? Her lip seems almost healed, but is still badly marked (red/pink).
3. At around 2 weeks, she has kissed me on the neck and arms, etc. We read I can get HSV-1 "anywhere" (as in cheeks or skin). Are these basically unrealistic scenarios to contract HSV-1?

Thanks in advance. Hope this post makes it and stays on the board.

You're no bother. Herpes lesions are fluid filled not puss filled. If you had a primary of hsv1 you'd know it. There is a young lady a few questions down having an hsv1 primary. Read her thread.

Hsv primary outbreaks usually happen anywhere from 2-10 days 4-5 being the average. In rare cases it can take out to 20 days. This has been documented but highly unusual. At 15 days post exposure you can be pretty confident your fine.
Once a cold sore starts to heal means the vIrish has retreated.  The fact her sore is now just a red area means you are fine to continue your normal practices.
Getting hsv in the neck or arms from her kiss is highly unlikely. The skin is thick in these areas and pretty resistant to hsv penetrating it. This is a no worry. Plus I doubt the virus was present at that time. I wouldn't worry at all.
My mother in law kissed my cheek with an active cold sore (I didn't see it as I was talking with another family member) I wasn't concerned as I knew the risk was minor at best.

THANK YOU! If I may ask one more question, because I've been hyper-aware of my genital area, I found what looked/felt like a bump. Over the past week, i treated it like a pimple/ingrown and it's popped once or twice. White puss fluid was released. It never looked like a blister. Now, after it scabbed and the scab fell off, it kinda looks like an ulcer. Is it possible for something that took this somewhat slow-developing course to be herpetic? Thanks, again, sir. Sorry for the bother.
