Anxiety about testing

So I have been with my boyfriend for a year. And I just started to get symptoms of genital herpes. I'm freaking out I've been to the doctor twice who have assured me it didn't look like herpes and got one lesion cultured. There has been times where my boyfriend has claimed not wanting sex because of shaving irritation now I'm worried that it wasn't. I find out Friday but with my symptoms Im almost positive. He says I don't have it because he doesn't but he's never been tested Im scared worried and especially uneasy about having to tell him he has it. Any suggestions??? Also I have cold sores but assured that chances of me giving him genital hsv1 and returning it to me was very unlikely is this true?

Please keep to one post.
You are extremely unlikely to become infected genitally with HSV1 given existing immunity in your body.
If this is of concern, then it is time to stop sex and have full mutual testing including for HSV.

My symptoms are tingling and burning after sex, then a rash or red bumps that went a way. Then a blister like lesion that went away in a day, then I felt sick lower back pain and tingling in but and believe to be getting another lesion on the inside of my labia majors.
