Any idea if this is herpes?

Hello, I had unprotected sex 10 weeks ago. 4 weeks later I started getting pain in my buttocks, tailbone, legs, feet, thighs, groin, low back as well as my arms and hands. I haven't had any lesions or blisters but I have had this pain for 6 weeks now.
Could this be related to a herpes infection?

Thank you.

Not common at all. In fact I know a well known hsv expert with over 30 years experience in a busy std clinic. How many cases of hsv with no lesions ever but other symptoms. Exactly 3 in over 30 years. This is extremely rare. Extremely. The Internet is horrible for information and context. Is it possible? Sure but so is being struck by lightning during a shark attack. It's like winning ta multistate lottery odds.

Thank you very much. I will still get tested at 12 and 16 weeks to be sure.
I have had the same exact symptoms. Any luck with your tests? Feelingundone has been very helpful reassuring me it isnt HSV related but I'm still concerned.

I just got the results for my igg blood test for HSV-1/HSV-2 that was performed at 5 weeks post exposure. Negative for both. I'm at almost 11 weeks now and haven't had any lesions. Just the muscle pain. How accurate is a test at 5 weeks?

50% accurate maybe. Retest in a week if your concerned.

That's true but that's for asymptotic infections. Ones with no symptoms at all. Somewhat common in folks who already have hav1 and get hsv2.
Most of the time the virus will have symptoms like a lesion or a few small ones. This either goes unnoticed  or passed off as something else. The point is you are on the look out so everything will seem obvious to you.

Quick answer is absolutely not. Hsv flat out doesn't act this way. In the absence of lesions your symptoms are not hsv related

Thank you feelingundone. I have read many of your posts and was hoping you would answer. When it comes to the leg pain it originates in my buttocks and feels like an electric shock. I have read on many websites that hsv often doesn't produce lesions. How common is this?
