Herpes symptoms or no??
Last month about the middle to the end of my period my vagina started itching and burning. It burned to urinate at times also. There were never any bumps or sores or anything like that. It was just red mainly from scratching. I treated myself with a 3 day yeast infection kit that didnt seem to do anything. This itching and burning lasted about 8-10 ten days. I'm not sure what to think since there were never any bumps, sores, or blisters. Yes, I'm sexually active so I know its possible it could have been herpes. I've been tested for all curable stds and they all came back negative. Is this a usual sign of herpes...meaning no bumps, sores, or blisters? I really dont want to go for blood work so opinions please!
I've had a UTI before so I know thats not what it was. It only burnt where it was red and irritated. No I didnt go get test for a yeast or bacterial infection. I was using an off brand of tampons but I've used them before and never had problems. Wonder if that had anything to do with it!?! I really dont want to have blood work done.
Did you see your provider at all to get tested for yeast and bacterial infections? Did you give a urine specimen to check for a urinary tract infection since you had burning while urinating? Also you might've had a reaction to a feminine protection product too. It'll take a lot more investigation into this by you and your provider to get to the bottom of this.
