Several weeks ago I kissed a girl I didn't know at a party. Earlier this week, I started forming red bumps on the corner of my mouth. The next day, it turned into red bumps and started to spread. Another day later, most of the area between my lower lip and chin were also covered in the bumps, which were very dry and itched a lot. There were some fluids coming out of them but they did not seem to be fluid filled blisters. I had never had an outbreak before, so I assumed that I contracted HSV1 from the girl I kissed.
Several days later the bumps started to scab over and I thought the worst was over. Then, I felt an itching on my scrotum. Over the next few days, several big red spots have developed on my scrotum (but not anywhere else) and they itch very badly. There is no fluid filling the blemishes to this point, just red itchy spots.
I have not had sexual contact of any kind except for kissing that one girl. How likely is it that I caught HSV1 from her and then spread it to my genitals through autoinoculation? I did shave the area while I had the outbreak and may have created some small cuts in my scrotum.
From what you describe it would not seem herpes related but only testing will confirm.
A couple of reasons this dosent seem related. First the sores most often appear on the lips, at the crest of the face not on the chin. If you did contract it the sore show up first time in the area of contract. Re current sores can appear anywhere on the face area however.
Also contracting herpes from a simple kiss with no obvious sores from her makes this unlikely also.
Most oral herpes by kissing is contracted by children whose immune systems are not strong but with adults makes this not as big an issue.
With all this being said, did you give yourself genital herepes from this? Highly unlikely and next to zero if possible at all.
