Bladder infection - HSV-1 reoccurance

Monday I was put on antibiotics for a serious bladder infection. I have been peeing blood for about 5 days now. Well Today I noticed I have 2 blisters down there. So I started taking my meds immediately! I was just curious if I got the outbreak because of my bladder infection? And also, anytime I get itchy down there I think its an outbreak, does anyone else do this as well? I've had HSV-1 genitally since March 2009 since then I thought I had an outbreak in July but I'm pretty sure that was just a yeast infection because I was itchy and red. 2 weeks ago I thought I could be having an outbreak but I'm pretty sure it was just irration and raw from sex the nights before. Does anyone else constantly obsess over whether or not your having an outbreak?

Do some people get reoccurring outbreaks with GHSV-1? I know their less likely considering the virus is located out of its preferred area. This is my first reoccurance with the blisters, previously I just got red and itchy (a day or so after intercourse) does that mean it's safe to say those "previous thought outbreaks" weren't actually outbreaks?

Also, Do you know of anywhere online where we could stay updated on the "cure status?" I had read that July 2009 researchers had found a possible cure, but it would take a few years to run clinical tests. Something about using a medication that makes the virus active in your body then using a strong amount acyclavior to kill off the active virus; I'm not sure the actually steps. But it was a nice reassurance that "they" are working towards a cure!

it certainly wouldn't be unusual that something else going on down yonder triggered a herpes recurrence. STarting your herpes antivirals was the best thing to do.
