Thank you sooo sooo very much for your kindness in replying my concerns!!! This actually ease me a lot! I've been having ups and downs but my boyfriend was very supportive. Also With your help and time, thanks a lot I appreciate it!! :*
You don't have to worry about sex with your boyfriend at all. You won't infect his genitals. The body produces antibodies that keep the virus at bay so he has a sort of immunity from getting it on othet parts of his body. You won't ping pong it back and fourth.
As far as your hsv 1 genital infection. Hsv 1 has much fewer outbreaks and sheds less than than hsv2. Some women never get another outbreak after the primary outbreak. Don't worry most adults have hsv1 orally so if any future partners have cold sores you can not spread the virus. It is very common.
Now if your boyfriend gave you oral sex 3-14 before your outbreak then thats when you contracted it. Even if there was no sore present. The virus does shed from time to time.
Again hsv1 is very common and please do not let it stand in the way of a healthy sex life eith your boyfriend.
That medication also helped me a lot. Only 2 days after I started medication and my genitals are like almost back to normal!! Thank God!!!!
He usually have sex on regular basis and there was never a problem. That dry sex we had one time totally triggered the herpes symptoms. He didnt have any cold sores for past few months too.. I got a call back and it says I am hsv1 positive.. So what now?? Can I still make love with my boyfriend? Can it be without condom or are we going to do condom all the time this time? Ok so I am never a big fan of condoms... It often gets me dry real quick :(( and also i dont wanna have sex anymore... I am honestly really afraid I might show symtpoms again and might shed this virus to him..although u said it is unlikely since he got oral herpes but who knows...
Did your boyfriend give you oral sex recently? It would be unusual for hsv1 to act like this months later. I would wait for the test results from the swab. They you will know if it's hsv and which type. Injuries and sun exposure is known to trigger hsv1 oral outbreaks but I am not positive if hsv1 genital infections act the same. It would make sense though.
If it is hsv1 then you can expect to have few outbreaks. In fact sime women don't experience outbreaks past the first one. It also sheds very little.
Your boyfriend isn't at risk of getting it genitally as he has it orally.
You may ask him to take an igg type specific igg test. That way you will know exactly what he has.
Also. I did go to a doctor and she told me she is very sure it is herpes.. She has to send the swab test to see if its herpes 1 or 2.
If it is 1, I would really assume its from my boyfriend... If its 2, idk where the hell i got that =((( and also, why is the outbreak happening only now? He did that oral sex about 5 months ago! Does that mean the dry sex triggered the activiation of outbreak?? Or idkkk Im confused... Getting and knowing the pathophysio is better than knowing nothing... And we claim fault since we were both sexually active. I am just afraid of having one again and get another of this.. The pain and soreness is just untoleratable!
That would be very rare. Please describe your symptoms? I need more info to better help you.
That dry sex happened 5 days ago.. I am wondering why am I only having this outbreak right now knowing the oral sex he gave me wirh cold sores was like 5-6months ago??
