Can lesions appear quickly ?

Hi , I'm 26 ghsv2 positive , my partner is not

Basically we were having abit of foreplay last night after a few drinks and my partner gave me oral sex , he also used his hands and was quite rough .. There was brief penetration but I stopped him
As we didn't have a condom . But he did rub his penis against my vagina .

Anyway today my vagina is abit swollen and sore and the opening has a slight red mark that could possible be a lesion.. Can lesions appear in about 5 hours ?

I'm wondering what are the chances he has caught it ?

Very likely the sex is causing all the symptoms or even triggering the outbreak. You were a bit stressed about the encounter I would suspect.

The virus is present for a very short time before symptoms occur, not typically days for example. Hence his chances of infection appear similar to when you are not experiencing an outbreak.

Basically I'm asking if u think the pain is due to the roughness of the foreplay or  I was in the beggining of an ob last night and it's come out to play today ? In which case what are the odds of him catching it ?
