Can this be answered?

Please don't judge me, I'm just looking for an answer. I had unprotected sex with 2 men about a week and a half apart. One of these men I had anal sex with. My first OB was entirely around my anal area, nothing in the vaginal area. Does this mean I got herpes from the man I had anal sex with?

they didn't type your culture for you?  that's unfortunate - you could've gotten much quicker answers if they had. if it's been a week or less, call your clinic and ask them to call the lab they use and order it typed. this should be their routine so that they can best serve their patients as well as save them lots of money!

I had a positive culture and a negative blood test... still waiting to do bloodwork again so that I can find out what type I am.

they'd both need to be tested to see who has what. the location of your symptoms doesn't mean that that has to be the person you contracted herpes from. You can have herpes symptoms anywhere in the entire boxer short area. you can have symptoms in the anal area even if you've never had anal sex.

what testing have you had done so far? do you know if you have hsv1 or hsv2 genitally?

keep asking questions!
