Chances I have herpes?

I had protected sex with a sexworker at a massage parlor , I got oral on me with a condom on & then vaginal sex w/condom. She put on lube on vagina area before we had sex. She was on top for a couple min. The only skin contact was her buttocks/thighs on my thighs. Nothing else.

I’ve been freaking out. I think I’m psyching myself out with “symptoms” I’m experiencing. No sores or nothing like that. Buttock pain, leg pain the past day or so but I really think that’s from anxiety and stress. I’ve been on Google non stop and it sends me down these rabbit holes. From this encounter what are my chances of having herpes? The skin to skin contact is making me paranoid.

The chances of this are very low, like around 1 in 10,000.

If you were in a long-term relationship with someone with a woman with hsv2, and used condoms for protections, the chances you'd get herpes from her over the course of a year are about 2-3%.

You're freaking out needlessly. When did this happen?

Most people get symptoms between 2 and 12 days, with the average being 4. With you using a condom, it being so low risk, and you not having any sores at all by now, I wouldn't even worry.
You are right. Thank you. That’s what I’ve been told and telling myself but I deal with anxiety so my mind is in a total frenzy. Never doing that again.
Focus on dealing with your anxiety instead. That's a far bigger issue than your STD risk. Talk to your doctor about it, and ask for a referral to a counselor, and about medication, if that's appropriate.

Best of luck to you.
