False positive for herpes?

Good afternoon everyone, I am posting this because of all the distress I have been dealing with and looking for answers.  Last month (April) on the 17th, I got tested for all stds (routine) and everything came back negative except the herpes test.  I was so shocked I didnt ask her (the nurse) for any other information.  She just prescribed me valtrex and sent me on my way. My fiance and I did seperate in March and I was with another man on March 14th. Who tested negative for everything before we started having sex ( someone I knew for many years). On April 15th my fiance and I got back together (we are getting married this summer) and I got tested a couple of days later just because.  He was tested too and came back negative for everything. So we were apart for 4 weeks, I got tested for herpes and it came back positive and I have been crying since. My fiance is completely shocked with this.  I havent had any symptoms and neither has my fiance.  No outbreaks or anything and the nurse told me, "You must have gotten infected recently". Im looking at her like, I havent gotten ANY symptoms, nor sores, blisters, itching or anything.  Neither has my fiance or the other guy!! If I just got recently infected wouldnt the first outbreak been the worse??? The nurse said, the blisters are inside the vagina, not outside, but when I got a pap done on the 17th the nurse said everything inside there was perfect.  Could a positive result come out in just four weeks? I do not have the actual numbers but I will be stopping by the clinic to pick them up and post them so I could get a second opinion.  Thank you.

If you are positive, I believe you would have had to have been infected while with your fiance prior to your split.  Test results in 4 weeks after exposure is not enough time to create sufficient antibodies to give an accurate reading. Its possible, but unlikely if it was truly only 4 weeks later...
Outbreaks may never happen or they may be insignificant to ever notice.  Being positive does not mean you are supposed to be raging with sores etc.  You can go for years and never have an episode basis your healthy immune system.
Get your levels, retest for validation

At this point I can't really help much until you get your test results for me to look at. All you need to post is the actual numeric results - ie hsv1 igg .56 and hsv2 igg 1.2 or whatever they are.

Have you ever had a herpes blood test before?
