Chances of transferring herpes without sex

I let my boyfriend use his fingers on me, while I was had a sore.  I did not let him touch anything without wiping his hand off first.
Is it possible for him to contract the virus after this?

Valtrex probably does not make a difference here because you had an overt sore.  Perhaps if he does contract the virus (which again is very unlikely), the symptoms will be less severe for him.

You are probably right.  I just cant stop thinking that if he touched himself after that, he could have gotten it.

It is highly unlikely (less than probably 1%) that your boyfriend contracted herpes whitlow.  If he washed his hands with soap and warm water afterwards, the risks are even lower.  Stop wasting your time thinking about this.  Go enjoy your saturday.

It is highly unlikely.  He may have contracted herpes whitlow -- a painful herpes infection on the finger, but again, that is very rare.  If he had cuts on his fingers the chances are higher.  That said, the risks don't warrant "freaking out."  You should be fine.
