Cold Sore question

Please pardon my ignorance, thus is why I chose to ask in this forum. I have a friend who has had cold sores in the past, or so she has told me, I have never seen her with one so I don't usually think about it. Today, she took a bite of a candy bar and immediately shoved the rest of it in my mouth to try it. My question is, and again I apologize for my ignorance, is this anything I should sorry about? Is there even a remote risk to this? I appreciate your answers, and again, I apologize for my ignorance. Have a great day.
