Cold sore and discharge

I had unprotected sex about 4 weeks ago and no signs of outbreaks. But, I have discharge that's seems yellowish and white. Are these signs of herpes from the vaginal canal? The person got a cold sore on their lip a few days later. Help!

One more thing. The odds of contracting hsv from a one time encounter of unprotected sex is like less than 1 in a 1000. The studies of couples where one is pos and the other is neg and they averaged three times a week of unprotected sex. The transmition rate was less than 2% a year.

Hello and Happy New Year!
I will try and help. What you describe does not sound like a hsv outbreak at all. Usually you would have painful lesions that will look like fluid filled blisters. First outbreak usually has flu like symptoms as well. Fever, body aches and swollen lymph nodes.
That being said first outbreaks are usually 5-14 days after infection so four weeks later is a stretch to say the least.
Plus if your partner did not perform oral sex on you the cold sore is a total non issue when it comes to your vaginal area.
My advice is to see your gyno figure out the discharge. Again nothing you describe to me sounds like hsv at all. More like a yeast infection or possible uti.
