Unsure if it's herpes?

Last Thursday night, I noticed an itch on my left side of the base of my penis, on the very bottom of my shaft. There were some pubic hairs growing along the bottom of the shaft itself, so I couldn't really see the actual cause of the itch, so I shave that small section of my shaft carefully so I can see a lil better. It was reddish and inflamed. Then next two days it started to kind of blister up, white looking blisters. Not really painful but just itchy every now and then. Also I must note, I haven't been sexually active since June. I have noticed my left inguinal lymph node tender and swollen. It is now Monday morning and it really doesn't itch anymore,it's starring to heal I guess, but I'd love to hear some feedback on this, thank you in advance.

Most likely this is folicus. If the sores are still there you can have them swabbed and type specific tested for hsv. Definitely to late to be a primary outbreak. That happens within two weeks from exposure

Thank you for responding, the size of the blisters were small, and at the very bottom of my shaft, left side, where pubic hair grows.

Doesn't sound like hsv. Sounds more like a fungal infection but I would see a physician if you are concerned. Explain the infected area. Size of the area and we're there small blisters or was the whole are blistered up?
