Continues sores in mouth from last 7 months, Please advise?

In May this year I started going to hookah bar with friends on weekends, initially we were using the same pipe to smoke hookah and two weeks of starting it I  had painfull sore inside the lower lip of my mouth, I rushed to walkin clinic and doctor their told me most of the mouth related sores he has seen are STDs but he is quiet sure this no STD and told me its an CANKER SORE and developed due to my internal problems, stress and lack of Vitamin C. He prescribed me a GEL which worked well on my sore. After that it did not came back for 3 months and now continuously happening  once every month  but not painfull and goes away in 3 to 4 days by itself.

But whats alarming to me is my friend whom I used to share hookah with also have this type sores often.
But he told me he is dealing with this type of sores since he was a veryyoung and its mostly because his body is hotter from inside than normal, he consumes lot body building supplements and caffiene too. initially sores were happenning at the very same place where used to put hookah pipe which is gums and lower lip.

I have also seen it happens whenever I have few sleepless nights and I eat almonds., When I stop eating almonds did not happend for three months but not sure about it.

Please advise.......

I understand your anxiety but we are an online forum and in no way can be sure about what the sores are. You need to keep up with your physician to get the proper answer

All you can do is have them cultured or biopsied.
