Convinced I have herpes

Two months ago there was a small shiny pink patch under my clitoral hood. It didn't bleed hurt or itch even when pressed. I noticed it a day after wearing rough underwear. Went to dr. Who said it honestly didn't look like herpes at all and was almost positive it wasn't (took a swab in case). He said it just looked like irritation. It faded out after a couple more days.
When I spread my labia minora towards the top the left side is a darker pink than the right. No hurting or thing or pain and it's been that way for weeks that I've noticed but sometimes it seems even pinker than usual. Not on the lips but between them. It's stressing me out so badly. I know herpes can present as lines and it kinda is a line except it isn't red it's pink and wider than a line but idk. I've only ever had one sexual partner before. Everything I've read from Dr. Handsfield makes it sound like herpes is hard to catch but then I go online and it seems like everyone has it. I feel so sick.

Thank you! Do you have any comment on the painless itchless bump that disappeared within 2/3 days?

Hi. no it does not sound like herpes as the doctors suggest but more for the rough underwear. Swabs are only accurate for showing a positive but in your case, considering what your describing, i would think it is negative for sure. If your more concerned then have a back up blood test.

When I say I went to the clinic the next day I meant I noticed it that night and went the very next morning (early). Also, the bump isn't associated with any feeling of sickness.

I called yesterday to confirm the swab test and it was negative. Would this be conclusive? I went to the clinic the day after the small patch appeared so it was fresh.
Also, I had a small bump in my pubic area. It was raised, felt firm, didn't pop when I pushed it with my fingernail, and was flesh colored/pink and shiny looking. Two days after It appeared it faded away and isn't visible. Never hurt or itched at all. I live in a very humid hot climate. Does this sound concerning? I feel like I can faintly see where the spot was but only with a flashlight and looking closely. It didn't scab at all or turn into a sore or burst.

Do you have a fever?
It could be a different STD at the worst. Does your partner have any symptoms of an STD?
You need to de-stress about it.. as stress makes your body more tired and sickly feeling than normal. Drink an excess amount of water and rest dear. Do not wear rough or tight underwear anymore. Wear all white loose cotton ones until this clears up (they aren't attractive, I know.. but neither is irritation down there). I also might suggest Vagisil wash to use in the shower. You can find it at Walmart, Meijer, Target, etc. This will keep the area clean.
Best of luck!
