Cut on lip

About 12 days ago I was bit a few times while kissing.  No blood was drawn but my lips bothered me for a few days.  A week after this incident  I noticed what looked like a cut on the edge of my upper lip and after a day outdoors it burnt/stung for about 2 days and then resolved on the 3rd day.  During this time I had some flu like aches and a sore throat. Does this sound like HSV -1?  Is it possible that I started to have an outbreak but my immune system contained it?  If it was HSV was I contagious during this whole time?

I did not notice any cuts or sores while kissing.   The cut on my lip was real and the felt unusual in that it burned.   Thanks for the help.

Hi, if the person had no lip sore at the time, the odds you just contracted herpes are close to zero. But you can test at 8 weeks if your concerned.
