I just came back from the clinic and found out i have Herpes. I've only been with two people in my life, my X husband and my current husband. I cant remember the last time i had an std test so i dont know if my X or my current husband gave it to me. My husband isn't being to open to our conversation about it and didnt use protection before me. I had a baby with my current husband and no one ever said i had any type of std. Does any one know if doctors check for std's when u are pregnant ?

so you have a herpes blood test done then?

I can best help if you post the actual numeric results - e.g. hsv1 igg 7.8 and hsv2 igg 3.4 or whatever they are.

have you been seen when you have symptoms to have them cultured for herpes?

also hubby will need tested for herpes to know his own status too.

I had testing for any/all std's cause i told Doctor i noticed some thing that looked like a pimple every month and it was painful. So she checked for every thing. Herpes 2 came out positive and today i found out that i also have hepatitis C which i could have contracted from my husband due to large amounts of tattoos. :( More testing will be done to see how bad it is.

what testing did you have done?

typically herpes isn't a part of routine std testing nor is it a part of routine pregnancy testing.
