Does this sound like genital herpes?

Yesterday while at work I felt the urge to itch the area between my scrotum and anus (which I have felt before since I get mild eczema in that area).  I scratch for about 30 seconds and later that evening I noticed a hard blister about the size and shape of a multi-vitamin capsule mid-way between my scrotum and anus.  The blister wasn't red but it did hurt to touch.  I squeezed it a couple of times to try and burst it, but I was unable to and ended up causing more pain.  I applied some steroid cream to the area like I usually do for eczema and went to sleep.  This morning when I woke up I noticed some dry white-yellowish pus at one end of the blister.  I wiped it off and squeezed the blister to find more pus continue to come out.  I squeezed about three times before draining the blister completely.

Right now the blister hurts when I touch it and sometimes creates a pain halfway down my right thigh when I walk taking wide steps.  I am a bit confused about it since I don't know what could have brought on the blister.  The girl that I have been having sex with claims that she doesn't have herpes, and every time that I have had sex with her I haven't seen any blisters or scaring from blisters!?

I tested myself in August for HSV-1 and HSV-2 and both came up negative and was six months without sex at that point, so the only possible source of transmission would be this girl that I had sex with about 3 times since September.

If the blister isn't dues to herpes then what could this possibly be?  I know that I should have gotten a culture done and that I should get retested, but besides testing I wanted to see what people on this forum thought.

Your input is greatly appreciated.

Actually this reader really does get a lot out of reading prior posts and isn't so easily confused.  Please abide by the forum rules. Thank you.

Thanks for your input Grace, but this posting has nothing to do my possible exposure in April.  The only reason it was mentioned in this post was to let the reader understand that I was completely negative before having relations with a girl in September.  In fact forget about what happened in April, that is neither here nor now, which is the reason that I am spawning a new post.  If I were to add to an old post that would only confuse the reader even more.

You are consistantly testing negative for herpes.  This is very unlikely to be due to herpes. You should follow up with your dermatologist or regular healthcare provider for further evaluation.

You've been posting here on this board since april - if you haven't read our posting tips yet please do so. We request that you just keep adding new posts to the same original post so that your whole "story" is there for easy glancing thru so we can better help you. Thank you for your future cooperation with this. It's far more helpful and time saving than you could ever, ever imagine.
