Drug trials for Herpes

Since I received confirmation of my herpes2 diagnosis having been found a lot of research. Found two interesting paths looking into a possible vaccine. Dr. Friedman out of PA and x-Vax who is working off a research from two Dr. from Einstein University in NY.

If you'd like some input on these, feel free to post links to them.

Please remember that any research being done today is years away from a product that makes it to us, provided that it's successful. What will you do in the meantime?

I think knowing about the conditions we have is very important. I don't know what your motivations here are, but if you are hoping for a cure in the next few years, that won't likely happen. Even if something is successful in a lab setting, it has to go through loads of safety trials, and then the approval process. This takes years.

I don't want to crush your hopes, or anyone's hopes, but in the meantime, if you (or anyone) is struggling with living with herpes, we can help with that.

Here is the link to x-vax and they are moving towards trials. https://x-vax.com/#about  It’s a different approach and promising. I’m not giving up hope.
I couldn't find much on them recently, but that doesn't mean they aren't still working. I hope they are. :)

I am not suggesting to abandon all hope, but to make sure we are realistic. The last thing in their "news" section is from 4 years ago, and they were still in the lab stage. In their "Pipeline", they are still in the "preclinical" stage. If this works, and it would be wonderful if it does, it still has years of research left.
