I took a blood test for hsv 1 on 5 -17-17. I have not had any cold sores but my lips have been itchy. My results are hv2 igg 4.40. I know I'm positive for hsv 2, it's been 10 years. For three hsv 1 igg test leas than .91however the concern is hsv igm combo test came back .96 equivocal. I read this test is not test worthy however my mind is racing. Any info is appreciated.
You are correct. The test is useless. Disreguard it. This test is notorious for false positives
