Future Cure

Does anyone know of any research that is being done on a cure for Herpes? I know Duke and Florida Universities are conducting research and have made some progress. Do you think we will find a cure in the next 5-10 years? Why or Why not?

I think they have found the cure at Duke University.  They are causing the virus to come out of hiding with a micro-RNA and then killing the virus with acyclovir.   The Universities are working with three different pham companies to try and develop meds for research.  This could take 7-10 years to see if it actually works without exceptional risks.  There are also people trying to hire micro-RNA scientists to develop a cure faster over seas than traditional methods of the FDA.

i dont think it will be because the virus lives in the nerves on the spinal cord which is going to be really hard to find a cure for it
