Tested high + for HSV2, next test barely +

Hello, I was recently diagnosed with HSV 1 and 2. I knew I had 1, but HSV 2 was done by a blood test IGG and it showed a high positive result of 10.10. I couldn’t accept this and been praying for healing. I contracted this after being rapped when I went back for my 6 month blood work std recheck and found out. I couldn’t accept these results. I went back and got tested with the HerpeSelect IGG test and this time I showed a low positive of 1.3. Is there any explanation for this? I heard you can get a false positive if you test from 1.1-3.5. I’ve also never had any symptoms and my bf tested negative and we’ve had sec at least 100 times unprotected.

That is very odd. Take another igg test. If It's low pos again tben do the western blot. If your next igg is over 3.5 tben consider it conclusively positive. Many couples where one has hsv and the other doesn't don't spread the virus to their partner.

this just happened to me i got results back from fastmed and its was igg 10.10 seems absurd, she ordered me to see a infectious disease doc to get more testing but im glad to see soneone else had a weird high number cause thats didn't seem right.
I ordered the western blot kit. I have a doctors appointment in a couple weeks to get blood work done to be sent off. Let me know what you find out!
