I have been reading the posts for a while. Upon request, my partner had gone to test for STDs. All was negative except for HSV2 where he was equivocal on IGM (1.07) . They did not test him for IgG. 4 weeks after the first test he went and got tested for HSV2 again, this time asked for both IgG and IgM. He was negative. But the reference values given was different in different units. his resutls were as follows :
HSV2 IgG = 1.17 , and the reference valuse said " less than 9 is negative, more than 11 is postive. almost like they multiplied by 10. the units they used was EU/ml . Anybody knows why the difference in refernce values?
herpes does not survive well outside of the body, it would be very unlikely to contract it even using a towel from someone with an active breakout. there is zero chance of contracting HSV from someone clean laundry.
