Genital Ulcer, is it herpes?

Hello,

So I have this ulcer (it look sexactly like the one you have in your mouth) right in the opening of my vagina on the left side. I've had it for a week, at first I felt like I had a cut down there and it was itchy. When I tried to find what it was I couldn't find it, so I took my phone, spread my lips and took a pic and I found this ulcer. Now it's a bit painful to the touch and when I pee, the pain is bearable and I don't feel any pain when I walk, only when I touch it or when I pee (but it doesn't always hurt when I pee, sometimes i can just pee without experiencing any pain from the ulcer. I didn't experience any discharge at first, but yesterday I had this very thick dark brown discharge when I changed my panties, and today I had it once again. It didn't smell at all. I did some research and I found that it could be herpes so I'm really freaking out now. :( I'm going to see a Dr. on friday. Oh yeah, I'm 24, I've had sex with one guy only in my life (my last x bf, but we broke up 6 months ago) so if this is an std I know who gave it to me. Could it be anything else but herpes or is it for sure herpes? Is there anything I can do to get rid of the ulcer?

Thank you for your answer. Hopefully it's just fungal/bacterial related  This morning I woke up with the same discharge again, it was watery though and more amount than I had before. This is stressing me out.

Hi, if you didnot mention the discharge i would be a bit more suspicious its a herpes sore but often with vaginal discharges, these type of irritations do develop as are fungal/bacterial related. They also tend to spread and are not just a single sore. Also your symptoms are mild and most often with first time outbreaks they are painful and followed by flu like symptoms. Hopefully it will still be there to swab but for sure have a blood test.
Most that contract herpes are in long term relationships not just sexually active people.
