Genital herpes exposure

My boyfriend has a cold sore on his lip and gave me oral sex. I have had oral herpes my whole life. Should I be concerned about genital herpes? Can you get genital herpes from someone who has oral herpes if I already have oral herpes? Please help

going to see your provider if you don't have any symptoms is a waste of time and money to be honest.

You already  have hsv1 orally so it's not likely you'll contract hsv1 genitally from your partner performing oral on you. It's still recommended that if you have an active cold sore ( or your partner does ) that you don't perform oral on a partner. It's an open portal into the body for bacteria and what bacteria is "normal" in the genital area, isn't always normal in the facial area so it's best to err on the side of caution.

Not really. It is believed that once u have HSV1 (the type that usually causes oral herpes) it's highly unlikely for one to catch it again genitally.
