Genitile Herpes or Something else?

On June 15th I had received oral sex and we also had protected sex. Approximately 2 weeks later my inner labia started to itch significantly. The itching subsided and just felt irritated down there. I didn't think much of it because sometimes my birthcontrol will cause this if I skip a pill or something. I also work out a lot. Then on July 10th I had unprotected sex. I still had felt somewhat irritated. But then on July 16th I started having low back pains and a pain in my neck. Each day I feel like I have had received new symptoms. Somedays the pain in my lower back is unbearable. Somedays the back pain is between my shoulder blades or in my shoulder blades. And one day the muscles in my neck were extremely sore. Then I also have weird random dull pains throughout my thighs, legs, arms, etc. I also have muscle twitching all over my body, but mainly in the buttocks and legs. My upper thighs and vulva area have a icy hott feeling. I don't really itch anymore I just still feel irritated (mainly after working out). I have also had a headache everyday since the 16th. Sometimes I feel this headache inside my ears. I started having a clear discharge (I might have had this when I first started itching, but  not 100% sure). Also, my joints in my knees hurt occasionally. I have not had a fever and it hasn't ever hurt when I urinate. The vaginal opening doesn't feel irritated at all. I have not had any sores or lesions. I think my lymphnodes in my right groin area might be swollen but I can't really tell. I went to my gyno yesterday. She took a look at my vulva region and she just though it was irritated from being hot and working out. However, she did not perform an exam of my cervix or any type of culture. I think this sounds exactly like herpes. I have tested positive for HSV1 in the past during a regular STD screening, but was told I have probably had that since I was a child. I have never felt anything like this before. What are your thoughts?

Again, if he did not have any penis sores your risk is close to zero. Most that get herpes on the cervix are those who already have herpes for quite sometime and have an out break there. First time outbreaks are at point on contact like the imediate vaginal area.

But on July 10th I had uprotected sex. I didn't know if the first symptoms of the itching would be unrelated to the symptoms I am feeling now.

Your cervix is not involved as he had a condom on so herpes could not get inside your vaginal area. Those most at risk for contracting herpes are in long term mono relationships where one partner is infected. Yours was very low risk and if he did not have any lip our pubic sores at the time, you can pretty much rule out any herpes concerns.

But isn't it possible to not have any sores? Or if they were on the cervix I wouldn't be able to see them. Correct?

Hi, none of what you mention is suggestive of having a herpes outbreak. A sore would develop before any flu like symptoms from a first time infection for genital hsv2. Head aches and muscle issues as your describing would not be related to herpes but maybe stress related.
