your doc can process it and send it for you.
Forgive one more question: my doc uses Quest labs to outsource anything they don't do in lab. So Quest comes by and picks it up. Should my doc be able to draw the blood and send it out this way or am I probably going to have to FedEx it to UW myself? Thanks!
they should be!
just call them monday and explain to them what you need done.
I'm sorry, I should've clarified what I'm asking. What should I tell my doctor's office? I'm not sure they're even familiar with the Western Blot.
call them, let them know you have purchased the kit and you need the blood drawn and sent to them with it.
I have the kit from UW. What specifically do I need to tell my doctor's office? Thanks.
you would have to ask them. every clinic is different.
Will my local doc office be able to draw the blood using the UW kit?
your provider needs to order the herpes WB and just go to the lab to get it drawn. If your local lab is having trouble finding test #34534, let them know it's a send out to the U of washington and they should be able to find it that way :)
