Getting herpetic whitlow from a cold sore
Hi, I was on a night out and my hand brushed my mates lip and I think he may have had a little cold sore. In between my fingers is sometimes pretty dry and cracked and I was wondering if there was much chance if I may get herpes on my hand? Cheers
I mean usually my skin can get a bit dry between there and it was when this happened and I was wondering is there a chance the herpes virus could have infected me?
this is incredibly unlikely to be herpes whitlow. You aren't going to contract it from that sort of brief contact.
