can you get herpes in the mouth from oral sex?

actually that is wrong - you aren't more likely to get hsv1 from oral sex than hsv2. Neither transmit from the genital area to the oral area very often but since hsv2 sheds more often than hsv1 genitally does, it would be the more likely culprit.

perhaps some info about your particular situation would help us help you better?

yes you can. if you give someone oral sex and they have genital herpes you can get oral herpes.
