Grey itchy spot?! Help!!!!

So it started about 6 months ago. I got an itchy spot right on the base of my penis, where the public hair and shaft meet. I scratched it and it would turn ashy, so I applied Lotrimin  Ultra thinking it was jock itch. It never fully went away though. The spot has turned a slight grey color and although it doesn't itch constantly, I can still feel it there. It's not raised. No bumps. It's smooth. Three days ago I decided I had enough of that and I pinched the skin to get a better view. Now the area looks like an open wound. It is flesh colored. IT DOESN'T HURT. It kinda looks like a very tiny ulcer? How can I post pictures. PLEASE I need peace of mind as I wait for the doctor's appointment. Thank you!

Sounds like eczema or contact dermatitis. If there is an ulcer there it is probably because you have irritated your skin. Go ahead and bite your inner cheek, see if you don;t get an ulcer. They're usually caused by trauma.

We can tell you that it certainly isn't herpes related.
