HELP! is this herpes?

I had a tiny red bump on my upper lip that was very hard to see unless i was up close to a mirror. I am the type of person to freak out when I think I may have a cold sore so i constantly was messing with it. I took double doses of my Valtrex and used Abreva. It never got bigger than a smaller dot on my lip and was gone within 4 days. Is it possible to have an outbreak such as this without a pustule formation?

yes it is possible to have a cold sore that doesn't progress into a full blown cold sore.

has your partner been tested to know his status?

I use suppressive therapy for cold sores hsv-1. I used to get sores very badly when i was younger and they are less frequent and not as large. But my main concern is that i was kissing my partner and didn't realize i had a bump on my lip. the bump always stayed very small and no pustule formed but i am scared i may have passed it to him.

Is it possible to have a cold sore with no pustule...it was completely gone within 4 days and seemed much smaller in the mornings but by night time was a little more inflammed because i was messing with it all day.

if you read our read before posting post on this forum, you'll see we ask that you just bump your post back up when it doesn't get answered in a timely manner, not keep making new ones. thank you for your future cooperation with this :)

abreva doesn't really do much for cold sores. it's very over priced and only heals cold sores less than a day sooner than placebo. Not really worth the money.

yes, you can ward off a full blown cold sore if you start antivirals soon enough.

are you usually on suppressive therapy for cold sores or do you also have genital herpes ?
