had bloodwork done hsv 1&2 igg negative hsv 1 igm negative hsv 2 igm positive 1.94 does this mean i have it? boyfriend tested negative for all
thank you. i was just so confused i got the blood work back from the dr. he told me i had it. so i had my boyfried get checked and his came out negative for everything so i didnt understand.
then with negative igg results for hsv2, you know you don't have it.

the herpes igm test is a greatly flawed test. current CDC guidelines recommend that it not be done at all on adults for the purpose of diagnosing herpes.
