I see that some of the usual helpers skipped over our topic here:
http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Herpes/HSV-1-transmission-rate---time-proximity-to-first-physical-sign/show/2924444
Being new to this forum, i'm not sure if it was simply too long or not made in proper etiquette. My partner and I are praying someone is willing to offer insight, as the specific scenario doesn't seem to be answered in any of the other questions.
In as short as I can make it, my partner and I had intense and prolonged sexual contact, including oral, Saturday night into Sunday morning (ending at 3AM). She woke up with the beginnings of a cold sore (HSV-1) on her lip. Some irritation and redness. She had not previously felt tingling or irritation, but cannot be sure as her only other cold sore in her life also did come with the obvious tingling and irritation phase. We are in constant worry that she passed me HSV-1 because of the proximity of our contact and the first physical signs of her cold sore. I had previously tested clear for both HSV-1 and HSV-2. There is more background info in the link above.
If anyone (user: feelingundone?!) can please help, it would be greatly, greatly appreciated. We're feeling somewhat undone ourselves.
