HSV-1 transmission risk

Hi there’s something that has been bothering me a bit, and I just want more insight on it. Two days ago I was at a friends house hanging out. There was a single pimple (whitish) in her lip with a small red shadow, in between the outside and inside of her lip, you could mainly see it when she’s talking or her mouth is open. She’s not sure if this is a cold sore she said it just popped up and it’s painless unless poked at, and that there were no prior symptoms.

We both had the same bottle of Pepsi, I accidentally uncapped and drank hers about 5 minutes after she drank out of the bottle, if she has a cold sore what are the chances I could get infected??

Whatever it is - cold sore, pimple, some random bump - there's no risk here for an STI.

Sharing drinks is not a risk for herpes transmission.

However, it is a risk for colds, flus, covid, strep, etc., so try to not do that.
