I found some interesting fact which I quoted below
Firstly u need to do type specific tests to know if u have herpes or not
Secondly as Grace pointed out that non type specific tests even if they come reactive they are inconclusive
Also as per a herpes website, even if in type specific tests you get Herpes in your blood test report the Herpes IS NOT proven until you have leisions or blisters or other herpes symptoms!!!!

"While a blood test may reveal infection with HSV at a time when no genital symptoms are present, confirmation of the genital HSV infection is still essential.
If the blood test is specific for detection of antibodies to HSV type 2, the likelihood of genital HSV infection is increased, but still not proven. The doctor may ask you to re-visit for a swab test when genital symptoms or discomfort appear"
