Red spots on penis

I am a 22 heterosexual male (uncircumcised). I recently experienced complications the day after having sex with a girl I've been seeing. I noticed the appearance of a few red spots under the foreskin and on my penis head. The condom I used had ripped at the end. I experienced no other symptoms. The red spots did not hurt, itch, burn, blister, scab or ulcerate. However, because of uncertainty the next day I went to my clinic and had it checked out. I was prescribed an anti-fungal cream but the doctor performed a swab of the spots to take a viral culture herpes test just in case. The herpes culture test results came out negative. The physicians assistant told me that I likely either experienced irritation or candida. The spots disappeared after 4 days while I was using the cream. Two weeks after that I had sex again and then noticed 2 red spots the same day a few hours after contact. Same thing with no pain or ulceration or itching. I am still worried about std's and not sure what to make of this.

yes you can get false negatives with lesion cultures.

definitely switch to another condom if this one is ripping for you.

why not you and your gf go for full std screenings, including herpes testing, and then you can stop worrying that this is a std?

Please note what grace stated, which is correct: std symptoms will not show up the day after sex.  herpes symptoms will not only occur when you have sex.

Just a comment on the condom usage. Many folks don't know how to use them properly, leaving them to do exactly what happened with yours. Google "how to use a condom". And always use a good lube - another reason why condoms can tear.

I used a condom but it ripped (non expired). I tried using some lube with the same condom the next time and it still ripped again. Trojan-Enz blue box brand. Needless to say I will be using a different condom type next time. I don't know what to make of it. I don't really feel and pain or discomfort. I know I got the culture test the first time and it was negative but it is possible to get a false negative. I keep researching but the internet has lots of information that contradicts itself. Thanks again
