Could I have herpes on my chest area??

I recently had a pimple in my chest area, it not uncommon for me to pop my pimples it's a habbit.  This one was different it got infected so I would continue to pick at it to get "rid of the infection" but I only made it worse and it gre to about a dime size, it would hurt, burn and itch all at the same time.  I got worried and I went to the clinic, and the location where I'm at it doesn't have very good medical people, and the Doc just looked at it didn't tell me what it was and sent me away with some tripple antibiotic ointment.  I still kept picking at it and it kind of shrunk, but this time I started to get a bunch of little pimples that itch and hurt, so I went back and the Doc did the same thing just looked at it and this time I got sent away with hydrocortisone, and due to the location where I'm at that is the only medical facility here, they woulndn't be able to do any test or anything like that.  Could you please give me some insight on this, cause I'm a bit concerned as to why they're not telling me anything they just give me ointments and send me away.  I would really appreciate a response, thank-you for your time, and Thank-you in advance.

this doesn't sound at all like herpes going on.

certainly follow up elsewhere and stop picking at it!! If this is MRSA, you could be spreading it to other body parts with all this picking!

Herpes on the chest would be unlikely, although not impossible. But your description of things does not sound like herpes.

There isn't really much I can say to you. Normally, I would say that you need to be seen by a doctor, but you are facing difficulties finding a good one, apparently. It would be ideal to be seen by a dermatologist somewhere.
