HSV Type 1

I just tested positive for HSV1. I tested myself for HSV2,HIV and other STD's as well & only HSV 1 came out positive rest was negative.if someone can please answer my few questions, it would be great.

Can HSV1 switch to HSV2 or HIV or any other problem in future?
Do i need to take any medication or treatment for this?
I never developed any sores or outbreaks or anything so why am I positive?
should i be worried or carefull doing regular activities?

Thanks in advance

Thank you, Yes i have only one partner...we been together for years & I have a child too. I am starting to fear not to give it to my child. I never get outbreak/cold sores...so what extra care do i need to do so i can prevent it from my child.

hsv1 never turns into anything else.

odds are your hsv1 is oral if you can't recall symptoms either orally or genitally.  http://www.ashastd.org/herpes/herpes_learn_oralherpes.cfm  has terrific info for more reading.

do you need to treat your hsv1? no you do not.

if you have a regular partner, have they been tested to know their status?
