HSV1? Need your opinion!

Hi!  Sorry if there's some mistakes in this post, english isn't my first language.

So there's my story.  I will give you as much details as I remember.  I haven't had story of cold sore in my life.  5 years ago, I was with a guy (my boyfriend of the time).  He didn't performed oral sex on me, but I had performed oral sex on him.  We didn't have sex together.  One day, it appeared 1 vesicule on each side of the labia minora (entrance of the vagina).  The vesicules bursted and after, the lesions seemed like an ulcer on my skin of maximum 1 cm.  The lesions were yellowish, greenish.  4 days after I had notice the first vesicule, I went to see the doctor (the vesicule had bursted).  He told me: "It seems like herpes, but it's not herpes."  So to be sure, he did a swab test that came back negative. He prescribed me famciclovir.  After 3 weeks, the lesions were still there but smaller.  So I went back at the clinic to see the same doctor.  He made another swab test and the result was still negative (but I had take famciclovir 1 or 2 weeks before).  The doctor didn't give me something else.  He told me to take famciclovir for a second time.  In total, lesions lasted for almost 4 weeks.  No crust at anytime was formed.

Since 5 years, I haven't had a recurrence (outbreaks).  The only way I could imagine I contracted herpes is me transmitting my labial herpes (if I have it, like latent) to my genitals.  I know that some days before I got a vesicule ( like 5 days before) I put my fingers in my mouth and touch my genitals after. I had shave my pubis like the day before I touch my genitals after I put my fingers in my mouth.  Is that shaving could have damaged my skin and helped the virus to enter?  If yes, what percentage chance (or misfortune) that the virus has entered?  Should I get an antibodies test (IgG test)?

It's been 5 years that I wonder if I really have herpes.  Thank you for your answer!

It's incredibly unlikely that you gave yourself hsv1 genitally in the manner in which you described. You also had a negative lesion culture and your symptoms didn't really respond much to antivirals.  Yellowish/greenish lesions do not sound like herpes either.

At this point you can follow up with a type specific herpes igg blood test but that will only tell you what you have, not where you have it but it's  a start for more answers.
