Okay, so I've tested positive for HSV1 and it was about three years ago that I got my first outbreak; although, I never knew it but figured l had this since childhood as I look back I always had canker sores or what I thought were canker sores all the time as a child. First time, my tongue felt like I had a million open cuts and I was unable to eat and barely able to talk after that one other time but since then they have been mild, tingling of the tongue. My problem is that it happens frequently now and this last one is like a burning, tingling sensation and this doesn't seem to go away. From what I have read is that as the years go on it's suppose to get milder and few outbreaks. I've tried searching the internet for chronic HSV1 symptoms but it never seems to come up with anything that I'm experiencing. What can I do as I feel like I can't date or must be very careful all the time because if I'm having a chronic outbreak then I can never kiss someone! Aside from being extremely frustrating...Is this normal? Or could this be something else?
