HSV2 Test Results

I am so distraught and confused about my test results. I know I have been positive for HSV1 (5.4) since I was a teen. I have had fever blisters off and on in stressful times. I was tested for HSV2 in 2009 and it was negative. No number stated just under .9 negative. I have been with only my husband and he has only been with me since this time period (both tested negative previously). In 2013 I tested HSV2 1.0 borderline. They said to recheck. I waited a couple of months and retested. Now they say I'm  positive at 1.4. I have never had an outbreak or any symptoms. I do have hashimotos which is an auto immune disease. I know this makes my system wacky. I was also on a steroid pack (for an ear infection) when I retested. Can any of this effect the test? I just don't want to believe this this is true. I have a call in to the doctor to see which testing methods were used. I will update that information once I find out.
So what do you think? And also how do the numbers work? Do they go up based on exposure (like 1 at exposure then 5 ten years down the road)? Can it lay dormant read negative and come out years later as positive with low numbers? Can you always stay at low numbers? I have not been able to find this sort of information on the web. Help!

Hi,
Igg values suggest  immunity in developing antibodies for herpes  and it is not affected by a thyroid disorders.

Thank you for the reply. I do plan on retesting. I have not had any recent experiences to have recent exposure. I am curious about the antibody aspect as with hashimotos your body builds up antibodies. They test for hashis by checking antibodies which mine are really high. I just wonder if an auto immune disease would alter antibody testing for other things. I am hoping this is incorrect. Is HSV2 something you could pick up toilets and such or does it die when it leaves the body? I have done a lot of traveling lately but nothing else that I could imagine allowing exposure. This is causing so much stress which just makes me worse. Uggg

Hi, hsv2 can lie dormant but with such low numbers suggest either a new infection or a false positive. These numbers are values of antibodies being developed but are subject to error. Retest with the biokit which is hsv2 specific and somewhat easy but wait another month or 2. I highly believe its a false positive.
