Grace,
but can the recent staph and strep infections/ antibiotics affect the WB test, if i do it in the next few weeks? will in increase the level of antibodies?
just want to make sure i get the right results and dont waste money if it's too early to ask the doctor for the test (who never mentioned anything about retesting with the western blot).
Thanks !
the first ob occurs within 2-20 days after infection whether you notice it or not. About half of folks who are diagnosed with what they thought was a newly acquired hsv2 infection, actually are just having their first noticeable recurrence that leads to them getting seen and diagnosed.
one more question,
would it be possible to have the 1st outbreak 2-3 months after the exposure? or the symptoms usally occur within 2-20 days after sex?
thank you, Grace!
i will keep you posted on the results.
and THANK YOU for the work you are doing, i found a lot of information, support and hope on this board, and in your posts especially.
if it's been at least 4 months since you last had sex with anyone but him, you can get the WB at any time and no need to wait.
i mean two years ago. he never had any symptoms either.
how long prior to you had your partner last had sex with someone else?
