I have hsv1 oral...I was wondering if Has anyone tested positive for hsv2...from oral sex (blow***) from a female ? If so how long before you saw a symptom or OB?

Yes I keep reading that it is rare to transmit....but it's my fear since the head nurse over at the health clinic (17+ years) said I can get hsv 2 if she' has it orally ?  That has freaked me out...that's y im asking on here if there's anyone that has posted of getting hsv2 from fellatio...she did have a lip bump of some sort on her bottom lip but I noticed after the encounter in some pictures she took before meeting up....now that im talking to you Howardh I know anything is certain from a blood test but it's been 12 days since the encounter and since hsv2 would be a new infection for me would have symptoms and OB happen by now?

Thanks

Life360 is right: HSV2 almost never is transmitted oral to genital.

Your request for others to post if pos for HSV2 after such an exposure is pointless. What difference would it make if someone said yes? Does your risk of lightning strike get higher when you learn it happened to someone else?

Hi, hsv2 oral is very rare and if she did not have any lip sores at the time i would not be concerned about this at all. But if you have a long term partner i would suggest a blood test in 3 months.
