lysine isn't going to do much at all for your herpes. I don't recommend wasting the time taking it.
do you still wrestle? all wrestling teams should have written rules regarding folks with known herpes simplex infections - either oral, genital or gladiatorum. Mostly that involves being on daily suppressive therapy with one of the herpes antivirals during wrestling season. Do you treat your herpes at all or do you no longer wrestle?
I'm assuming you have hsv1 - do you? If so, has your current partner been tested?

Hi
I just wanted to ask a question... Im positive for HSV1 which I get coldsores on my lips sometimes (nothing servere though) And lately Ive been experiencing herpes like symptons on my buttocks checks, which Ive had looked at by a doctor and they said it 'looks' like Folliculitis, no swaps were taken. Is it possible my HSV1 can breakout other areas then my lips?
You have a condition called Herpes Gladiatorum which is caused by the HSV1 virus due to skin to skin contact with an infected person this is quite common amongst wrestlers and in close contact Sportsmen and is contagious so you must ensure that no skin to skin contact is made with anyone when you are having an outbreak, you might want to talk to your Doctor about Suppressive Therapy with antviral mediation to reduce your outbreaks.Because it is HSV1 yes it is possible for it to appear on you lip also but doubtful it will spread to any other parts of your body.......
I would advise you to cover the blisters with a small dry dressing during outbreaks until the blisters break and start crust over to avoid accidental skin contact with your g/f at those times.
